Frequently Asked Questions.
Reporting System:
Home Inspection Services uses a computerized reporting
system. It is one of the best reporting systems on the market
today. Your report may take a little longer but that is because it will
hold a lot of valuable information. It will contain major or minor
defects, construction materials and maintenance items. There are
reference drawings in each section explaining typical construction
methods. It is a reference material that you can refer to for years
to come.
It is a clean, easy to read report that comes in a three ring binder.
We also include pictures of any defects that might be hard to
explain. Your report comes with a narrative summary page.
CAN A HOUSE FAIL THE INSPECTION?
No. The home inspection is a limited visual Inspection of the home’
s structural components and systems. A home inspector cannot
pass or fail a home, but rather describe its physical condition and
indicate what may need major repair or replacement.
WHAT WILL THE INSPECTION COST?
Our fees are based on the square footage of the home or office.
There may be additional fees for additional services. Give us a call
today for your quote.
HOW LONG DOES A HOME INSPECTION TAKE?
Our inspectors are on site for 3-4 hours gathering the information
needed for our very detailed reports. The final report will be
completed by the next day.
WHY DO I NEED A HOME INSPECTION?
The purchase of a home is probably the largest single investment
you will ever make. To minimize unpleasant surprises that can lead
to significant financial burdens later on, you should learn as much
as you can about the newly constructed or existing home before
you buy.
A home inspection may identify the need for major repairs, builder
oversights, as well as the need for maintenance to keep your new
home in good shape. After the inspection, you will have a clearer
understanding of the home, which will allow you to make decisions
with confidence.
Sellers:
If you are planning to sell your home, a home inspection can give
you the opportunity to make repairs that will put the house in
better selling condition.
If you are already a homeowner, a home inspection can identify
problems in the making and suggest preventive measures that
might avoid costly future repairs.
